2011 was a season of optimism and disappointment. After spending the 2010 season working on the suspension and handling of the RMP Competizione E90 BMW 330is, the team looked forward to 2011 to put it's focus on developing the BMW's N52 3.0L engine. While the initial results for the engines were positive. For the 2011 season the team once again decided to run a limited CTCC schedule.The team decided to run 4 of the series 8 event weekends. The team battled through reliability issues with both engines and transmissions all season long.
In spite of the limited schedule and reliability issues with the driveline, both drivers scored respectable finishes in the overal standing
Rocco Marciello managed to finish 10th overall in the standings. He finished in the top 10 5 times. Michael DelleDonne finished 17th overal in the standings in spite of numerous mechanical difficulties. He finished in the top 10 3 times. |

RMP Competizione is proud to announce that they are returning in 2011 to campain their E90 3 series BMWs in the Canadian Touring Car Championship. After a dissapointing 2010 season, the RMP team is looking forward to better results in 2011. "It's good to go into the season on a positive note. Last year we were behind the eight ball right from the get go. It was difficult last year with all the reliability issues we had." said Mike DelleDonne. Rocco Marciello added "We couldn't work on the setup the way we wanted because we spent all our time troubleshooting problems. Now that we will be able to run lap after lap reliably we will be able to get that data we need going forward to make the cars faster." Both Drivers are looking forward to getting on the Continental Extreme Contact race slick for the coming season. "By all accounts it should be more consistant than what we had in previous seasons. It should make for some interesting racing." stated Marciello.
